Booking conditions and cancellation policy

Booking conditions and cancellation policy

Please read the following information carefully regarding your booking.

All retreat bookings include a £50 non-refundable deposit. In the event that you should have to cancel, please see the information below.

Accommodation will be provided as described on the website and in your booking. In the unlikely event of a particular room specification not being available, you will be offered the closest alternative, which you can choose to accept or decline as you please.

If you have booked a dormitory-style room and you are the only person to book this option, you may have a nice surprise and find that you are upgraded!

Cancellation and refunds

Life happens. If you find after making your booking that you are unfortunately no longer able to join us, you have the option to transfer to the next available retreat, which may be several months in the future. Your booking will be honoured. In the event that you need to cancel your booking completely, the following terms apply:

Up to 8 weeks before the retreat – full refund, minus the £50 deposit.

4 to 8 weeks before the retreat – 50% refund, minus the £50 deposit.

Less than 4 weeks before the retreat – Regrettably, no refund will be considered.

In the unlikely event of the retreat having to be cancelled, due to either minimum booking numbers not being reached; illness or injury to either or both of the hosts; inaccessibility of the venue due to adverse weather conditions; damage to the venue in part or whole by adverse weather, fire or other cause, you will be offered a transfer to the next available retreat date, or a full refund of booking fees paid. No compensation for fees already incurred for travel arrangements to the venue will be considered, whether that be by road, rail, sea or air. Travel insurance should be considered to cover for this eventuality if you are travelling a long distance to attend.

Disabled guests

Rooms have limited suitability for disabled access. Only one cottage has wheelchair access. If you are a wheelchair user we would be delighted to accommodate you but need to be informed of this well in advance to ensure appropriate room allocation.

Other points to note

A retreat is the perfect opportunity to get away from it all and indulge in time for yourself. The pure food, juices (including wheatgrass juice) and yoga classes may bring about certain symptoms of detoxification, including but not limited to headaches, nausea, vomiting, skin outbreaks, diarrhoea, fever and weakness. These are accepted as part of the healing process, and normally subside within a short time. Neither Judy Barber, Max Tuck nor The Living Foods Retreat can accept responsibility for any adverse effects of detoxification that may occur in any guest, either whilst at the Asha Centre or on return to your home. If you are feeling unwell, we will support you in every way but we are not medical doctors. If you have a specific medical condition, please inform us of this in advance. It might be recommended that the retreat is not suitable for you.
